Irene Burford BA(Hons) MCHP

I studied massage and aromatherapy at The Carole Preen School of Complementary Therapies (now Natural Therapeutics). I am a registered Member of the Complementary Health Professionals Association and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) www.cnhc.org.uk . 

 

I qualified in massage 2002 and then in aromatherapy in 2004 holding diplomas in holistic and clinical aromatherapy, therapeutic and remedial massage, and anatomy and physiology.  I am currently studying to achieve Level 5 clinical aromatherapy. I have experienced first-hand the benefits that complementary therapies and manual and talk therapies offer whilst dealing with my own health issues over the years. 

 

This led to my desire to train and qualify in massage firstly and then qualifying in aromatherapy introducing the essential oils into the massage therapy. The combination of both therapies can be very effective which I hope encourages clients to discover their own innate capacity to cope and find balance and optimum health no matter what circumstances they are dealing with.

I tailor the appointment  to the client, based on a detailed consultation process. I have a particular interest in helping clients deal with chronic illness, stress, and mental health issues, and more generally to destress from a very busy life.
